The mandatory Batman entry

By now every blog on the internet should have at least one Batman entry... why? because he is THE BATMAN!!! and Batman is like Chuck Norris or Almada's Brothers but even more realistic, that is, if you forget about the campy 70's Batman, you know, the one with the bat-dance and bat-beer belly, yeah, that's right, the one with Adam West, forget about him ok? 'cause we aren't going to talk about him here, not right now at least, we are going to talk about the real comic-world Batman, the one that is dead... yes, you didn't know it? sorry, maybe I was too rude, but yeah, Batman is like, totally bat-dead.
How is that possible? how is that the smartest detective and death defying super hero of the world could have hanged the bat-boots? well, dont ask me, ask Grant Morrison, he is the mastermind behind all the Batman deaths... yes, deaths, in plural, cause he didn't die just one time like Jesus, he died in many ways. He died fighting the criminal syndicate called "The Black Hand" and also fighting the evil god Darkseid, but don't worry that much, even if the old Bruce Wayne has hit the bat-bucket, there are a ton of guys who want to don the legendary cowl and get their own cut coming from the merchandising of the various bat-items and gadgets.
Keep the comics coming!!!

The zombie outbreak

Yeah, what's up with all the panic and media-coverage of something as vanal as the damned swine flu? It's not like some brain-starved zombies started to roam the streets biting every living being at the reach of their rotten and disgusting pus filled, teeth decaying and bad breathed mouths. Now, that's what we all should be really worried about, because, just so you can know, not even a billion of mouth covers made of silver threads, blessed by the Pope and stamped with the holy image of the original Buda's lotus could save us from the evil and hungry clutches of the undead.
So, please, to every fear preacher on the big-mass media out there, stop claiming that this is the coming of the apocalypse 'cause you really don't know what the God damned apocalypse is, and what we are currently living is really far from that, unless the apocalypse is a week without school and having fun on a semi deserted city... if that's the case, I want an apocalypse every month. That's why everyone has stopped watching T.V., the panic starts to get old when you don't see piles of corpses in every public plaza being burned before they can infect the few ones who keep living on. If that was the case then the ratings would sky rocket... well, if you don't take in count the ones who died or are dying while watching your reports, that wouldn't be a good business.

A small introduction to the Eragon book

Yeah, we are all writing small introductions to books we have read at the SAC, so, here is mine, it's about the Eragon book:

This is the story of a young man who finds a strange stone while hunting in the haunted mountains of The Spine. At first he believes that the newfound rock is a precious and magical stone, but after trying to sell it at his hometown without success, he is surprised to learn that the “stone” started to hatch. A tiny dragon emerges from the rock-like egg and with it, a long journey full of adventure, danger and betrayal starts to unravel.
Eragon knows that he can’t rise the dragon at his uncle’s house, -where he is currently living- so he takes it to the mountains where he first found the stone, the haunted Spine, there he soon learns the way to communicate with his new friend: telepathy. Their minds bond toguether and Eragon can understand the feelings and ideas coming from the dragon, he even finds out that the dragon is not a he, but a she, and starts searching for a suitable name… after much thinkering, they find a name wich both of them like: Saphira.
The events start to change for the worst when, after some months after Saphira’s birth, a couple of dark capped strangers start asking questions around Eragon’s town. Some days later Eragon finds his house burned down and his uncle badly wounded, his last words were the name of his killers, the Ra’zac.

Brom, the town’s elder story-teller, joins Eragon in his adventure to find the killers of his uncle, but also starts to tell him stories about the legendary Dragon Riders, how they fought against injustice, protected the kingdom and how they felt by the hand of one of their
own… the current king, Galbatorix. The Ra’zac themselves were simple henchmen of the king, the ones wich him sent everytime a dirty deed needed to be done, and it seemed like Galbatorix wanted these new dragon that emerged from nowhere.
Join Brom, Sephira and Eragon in an incredible adventure trought the lands of Alagaesia to find the secrets that sorround their past. It’s a story filled with magic, fantasy and the will to keep living by your own beliefs.
